Neben Musik-Stars wie Anne-Sophie Mutter, Christian Gerhaher, Diana Damrau, Thomas Quasthoff, Herbert Blomstedt und Yannick Nezet-Seguin, hat sich jetzt auch Weltklasse-Sopranistin Anna Prohaska online auf Ihrer Facebook-Seite über die Konzertsaal-Entscheidung in München geäußert.
"Every country has bridges, motorways, schools, sports teams... But what makes Germany special as a country? It's incomparable density of publicly funded orchestras and theatres. In stead of nurturing this singular musical eco-system, Germany seems to treat music and the arts as some sort of luxury of which the necessity is to be debated. Additionally Bavaria and Munich in particular are not exactly the poorest corner of the country. The respective governments should pride themselves being the flagship of cultural funding. And quite practically spoken: why renovate an ugly concert hall with a mediocre acoustic at a price of TWO whole new concert halls depriving the city, its orchestras and private concert promoters of the only venue of compararble size for all the years of refurbishment?"

"Während des geplanten Umbaus des Gasteigs werden die Orchester Münchens so hohe Verluste machen, da sie nicht genug Publikum in den Ausweichspielstätten unterbringen können. So sucht die Politik die Möglichkeit, "Unrentabilität" festzustellen und hat eine Ausrede, ein Orchester einzustampfen. Das Münchner Konzertleben wird stagnieren. Lassen wir das nicht passieren! Das Münchner Publikum braucht einen weiteren Konzertsaal an anderer Stelle."
