after almost 120 years of occupation from the Russian empire (1801-1918) Soviet Russia in 1920 agreed with an Independence of Georgia including Abkhazia with all other regions. The status of Abkhazia was never been under the question mark. League of Nations between 1918 and 1921 recognised Georgian suverenity including all reagions which are now for some reason under the consideration.
