Petice je adresována: German Bundestag & Senate of Berlin
The Berlin senate is trying to deport four people without any criminal convictions: Cooper (USA), Shane (Ireland), Roberta (Ireland) and Kasia (Poland); in disregard of the separation of powers in Germany. In the deportation notices, their activism in favor of Palestinian human rights is said to be in conflict with the legally untenable term “Staatsräson” which legal experts have classified as a problematic grounds for deportation.
If the senate’s plans are carried out, this would set a precedent for the use of deportation as a means of repressing protest in Germany, effectively uprooting the base of democracy and making way for further dismantling of the division of powers.
If we succeed in collecting 30,000 signatures, openPetition will request statements from members of the German Bundestag and thus increase the pressure on politicians to take action.
We sign this petition to prevent an anti-democratic precedent.
We demand that the Deutscher Bundestag:
- immediately stop the politically motivated deportation plans against the four activists.
- assure that there will be no further attempts to dissolve fundamental democratic rights in the future.
- to hold the Berlin Senate accountable for endangering fundamental democratic principles and its authoritarian tendencies in dealing with protest.

Proč lidé podepisují
I am morally obligated to sign this petition. Germany is outlawing activism. Attempting to deport citizens of EU states and the USA may be the beginning of mass deportation attempts that will target, silence, and punish the even more vulnerable, and criminalize non-violent activism. The climate movement, along with a range of human rights advocacy, will suffer terribly as a consequence. Various facets of public and private life will also suffer as a consequence of violence, discrimination and censoring. The world needs activists, they are to thank for all the political rights enjoyed around the world today. It is incredibly ignorant, sadistic, and authoritarian for Germany to even be proposing these deportations based on migration status and zero criminal convictions. German politicians are acting in Germany's worst interest.
Hidden in the shadows is the dormant violent and punitive nature of our outdated government structures. It violates reason and the citizen's rights in this country but any country proclaiming it seeks peace.
It’s pure fascism (=nazism =zionism) what we’re whitnessing here.
Germany should take a close look in the mirror and start reflecting on its recent past, instead of repeating it.
