Successful Power Reinforcement by Recruiting 2 National Team Resources
Lee So-young signed an FA contract with IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.
He even looks to win the unified title.
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, a women's professional volleyball team, has become a strong candidate for the next season with a bold recruitment in the FA market.
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced on the 15th that it has signed FA contracts with outside heater Lee So-young 29 and middle blocker Lee Ju-ah 23. 안전놀이터
Lee So-young, who combines offense and defense, signed a three-year contract with a total annual salary of 700 million won 450 million won annually, 250 million won option and a three-year contract with national middle blocker Lee Ju-ah for a total annual salary of 400 million won 330 million won annually, 70 million won option.
Both Lee and Lee are national team resources. The two Korean players are displaying top-notch skills in the V-League to the extent that they have been named in the entry list of the 2024 Volleyball Nations League VNL announced earlier this month. IBK Industrial Bank of Korea has invested a whopping 3.3 billion won in recruiting the two players who are national team resources.
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea failed to play volleyball in the spring, finishing the 2023-24 season in fifth place. However, he gave strength to his team by renewing contract with manager Kim Ho-cheol, and analysts say that he has boosted his team's strength further by making bold investments in the FA market.
Lee So-young led GS Caltex's treble No. 1 in the regular league, cup tournament, and championship game in the 2020-21 season, and scored 215 points with a 37.95% attack success rate in 26 regular league games in the 2023-24 season, and also contributed to Jeonggwanjang's spring volleyball advancement for the first time in seven years by recording 43.80% receiving efficiency and 3.724 digs per set in defense.
IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, whose spring volleyball is the last of the 2020-21 season, will aim to advance to the postseason in four seasons with Lee So-young's outstanding skills and leadership.
Lee Joo-ah signed an FA contract with IBK Industrial Bank of Korea.
Lee Ju-ah, who became the first free agent in her career, is a middle blocker for the Korean national team, ranking 4th in scoring and blocking 0.617 per set and 5th in fastball 47.03 percent this season. With the recruitment of Lee Ju-ah, the IBK will be able to provide a foothold for its advance to the top ranks by strengthening its central offense.
With the simultaneous recruitment of Lee So-young and Lee Ju-ah, IBK Industrial Bank will establish a lineup comparable to that of the national team in the new season with Kim Hee-jin and Choi Jung-min.
If leading star Kim Hee-jin, who failed to get on the court properly the previous season in the aftermath of knee surgery, recovers his old skills, it is considered worth doing with "defending champion" Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Heungkuk Life Insurance, where Kim Yeon-koung is holding out.
An official from IBK Industrial Bank of Korea said, "By recruiting players with decision-making power for each position, we will further enhance the team's offense," adding, "We will do our best to achieve an integrated victory in the 2024-25 season by spurring the formation of players until the end."
