Dear students, We need your vote on an issue we want to raise to the university board. We ask the university administration to register the lectures in accordance with the advanced science techniques applied in most universities in the world. If you are supporting the recording of lectures, please sign the petition with your full name and faculty.

More intensive post-processing An important application goal of the lecture recording as a supplement to the present tense is the individual post-processing of the lecture contents. Students can learn at their own pace contents that were not understood in the lecture. There are so many different learning speeds in a lecture that it is impossible for teachers to respond to all of them. This provides a fair opportunity for all participants to learn the material, as everyone can adjust the recording to their own pace.

Furthermore, lecture recordings usually lead to a more intensive study of the material, as it is a readily available source of preparation and follow-up. This study of the lecture content can therefore lead to a deeper understanding of the material.

Independence of place and time Lecture recordings enable students to prepare for postgraduate and exams independently of time and place. These are two particularly important features for students with work responsibilities in addition to their studies and students with family responsibilities who are limited in their time flexibility. Foreign students whose native language is not German can also use a lecture recording to follow up on the contents.

Even in the event of a student's illness, the lecture can be reviewed promptly without having to forego the input of a lecturer. Altogether, lecture recordings promote both self-learning skills and student organisation in addition to specialist knowledge.”
