Dear friends,
there is also something brightening to tell about this November 9, the anniversary of the Reichspogromnacht: Today, the Cologne City Council finally decided to name the cycling stadium after the Cologne cyclist Albert Richter, who was murdered by the Nazis, and the square in front of it after his Jewish friend and coach Ernst Berliner.
The new cycling stadium will then be called Albert-Richter-Velodrom from 2025, with the address: Ernst-Berliner-Platz. Thank you to all supporters and fellow campaigners - it is very touching! #WiderDesVergessens
By the way, Nele Platten and Leon Küsche (Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium) proved in a special way that also young people deal with the past with their film about Albert Richter and Ernst Berliner, which won a state prize at the history competition of the Federal President.

Let's hope that the new cycling stadium will now be built without delays and that we will all meet again at the opening ceremony at the latest. Stay healthy!
