The initiator of the petition was made aware of the violation of the terms of use by the openPetition editorial team and had five days to revise the petition. This did not happen. The petition was therefore blocked.

Jedes Jahr wird auf Borkum eine Tradition gelebt, die gegen alle unserer Vorstellungen von Frauenrecht und Respekt verstößt. Am 5. Dezember wird auf Borkum die Tradition des "Klaasohm" ausgetragen. Während des Festes jagen Einheimische junge Frauen und halten sie fest, bis als Klaasohms verkleidete Männer kommen und ihnen unter dem Beifall der Zuschauer mit Kuhhörnern auf das Gesäß schlagen. Die Borkumer gehen aktiv gegen Berichterstattung vor.
Lasst uns gemeinsam diese Tradition in die Zeit verbannen, in die sie gehört: in die Vergangenheit!
Das Recht des Einzelnen endet nicht bei Tradition. Jeder Mensch sollte ohne Angst auf die Straße gehen können, ohne Gewalt fürchten zu müssen, keine Tradition rechtfertigt Gewalt gegenüber Menschen und schon gar nicht gegen bestimmte Gruppen aufgrund von Geschlecht, Herkunft oder aus sonstigen Gründen.
