Petition richtet sich an: European Parliament
We call upon the European Parliament to do everything in her power to end police and judicial persecution and repression of humans seeking asylum in Europe - whether they are here legally or not -, to decide on a moratorium of deportations of anyone currently within Europe or who will be arriving on grounds of political asylum or in order to look for work. We call upon the European Parliament to make sure that every human being within Europe is given sufficient money to provide for a basic living in dignity - for instance for food, clothing, and shelter -, to end the practice of giving material goods only (e.g. food packages), and to allow anyone within European borders, whether with or without legal papers or status, to pursue an education or job training and to look for work. Given the cost of the repressive measures taken by European countries and agencies, this measure in the spirit of human rights as specified by the UNO is no more costly - especially if people are allowed to work since then they actually contribute to our European economy. It would be nice if human rights where a reality also for non-citizens. Europe should remain committed to the UNO convention on human rights she has signed and accepted and declared herself responsible for.
Begründung
There is no good reason to waste money on repression and for measures preventing human rights, and Europe is rich enough to make reality what in theory she has commited herself to.
