Dear survivors of sexual exploitation! Dear allies and fellow campaigners! Dear supporters!
I was finally able to hand over our petition in November 2025: first to Mr Brand (Member of the Bundestag, Parliamentary State Secretary at the BMBFSFJ) at the conference of the Federal Association of the Nordic Model, and then to State Secretary Ms Dr Bahr (BMBFSFJ) during a personal meeting at the Ministry. Both also accepted our booklet “Listen to us at last!”.
Yesterday, the response from the Petitions Committee arrived by post. The procedure is now closed.
The explanatory statement claims that we had called for a prohibition of prostitution.
This is outrageous and incomprehensible – either those responsible did not read our petition at all, or they are completely ignoring our arguments.
The Bundestag is not interested in our voices. It is precisely this political stance that is responsible for the fact that women and girls continue to be destroyed, raped, tortured and killed in the German sex industry! In March, I submitted the topic “Prostitution: Germany must exit!” to ABSTIMMUNG21, so that it might have a chance of appearing on the ballot for the fifth nationwide referendum in autumn 2026. Unfortunately, my topic did not make it through to the final round.

Thank you very much for your support!Pani Fem

I have scanned the letter from the Petitions Committee; you are welcome to read it for yourselves: https://magentacloud.de/s/wzeaLf3CQGab8KF In March, I submitted the topic “Prostitution: Germany must get out of it!” to ABSTIMMUNG21, so that it might have a chance of appearing on the ballot for the fifth nationwide referendum in autumn 2026. Unfortunately, my topic did not make it through to the final round. Petition was submitted
am 23.09.2025Dear survivors of sexual exploitation! Dear allies and fellow campaigners! Dear supporters!
We launched our petition at the end of February and, with your help, have collected more than 4,000 signatures! Thank you!
In the meantime, KFN has presented its evaluation of the Prostitute Protection Act, which is positive and makes a rethink in politics seem unlikely. [1]
We have already clearly expressed our criticism of this at events and on social media: ‘Here, too, we who have left the industry were not consulted, even though we, with the distance that is often needed and the processing that we ourselves are engaged in, could have contributed so much to the circumstances in prostitution. Instead, we were simply ignored.’[2, 3]
The published results have also been sharply criticised by the Federal Association for the Nordic Model: ‘Further recommendations, such as extending the scope of the Prostitute Protection Act to “underage prostitutes”, as proposed by the KFN, are even more worrying.’[4]
On September 14, we submitted our petition by email to the Petitions Committee of the German Parliament and requested an appointment to hand it over in person. Unfortunately, we have not yet received a response.
We have now also contacted the Federal Minister for Education and Family Affairs, Ms Prien, by email and requested an appointment to hand over our petition. We are still waiting for her response.
That is the current status. The good news is that our petition has been officially received by the Petitions Committee and will definitely be dealt with!
Thank you very much for your commitment! We will continue – together – for all women and girls!
Yours, Ellas
